"FLCM1" is a network for robots, industrial equipment, and automobiles. A simple monitor for monitoring CAN (Controller Area Network) communications used in networks.

It is easy to carry and operates on a Type-C power source, making it easy to monitor even when you are out and about or in confined or restricted spaces.

In addition to checking, experimenting, and monitoring CAN messages, it is also possible to monitor for abnormalities and output CAN messages.

The source data for both the firmware and hardware is publicly available, allowing you to customize it in various ways.

Product overview

- Real-time CAN monitor using Microchip's MCP25625 transceiver with built-in CAN controller

It combines the functions of MCP2515 and MCP2551, and can be connected to the CAN bus for direct monitoring on a 2.8-inch LCD with touch panel.

CAN ID and data fields can be filtered using hardware and software filters.

Compare out allows you to output the results of comparing the data frame value with a set threshold.

This allows you to efficiently extract, display, and output only the data you need.

CAN 2.0B, 1Mbps max (CAN FD not supported).

Equipped with a simple display function for CAN Vbus voltage.

Product Details

- Equipped with MCP25625. CAN 2.0B, 1Mbps max (CAN FD not supported)

-Can be connected to the CAN bus via a DSUB-9-pin male connector or a 2.54mm pin socket. Equipped with a DSUB pin layout switching header and a terminator ON/OFF switching header.

- The hardware filter is built into the MCP25625 and performs high-speed filtering of CAN message IDs.

The software filter uses a built-in microcontroller to filter a single CAN ID and has a data frame extraction function.

The compare out function compares the data extracted by the software filter with the set threshold value and displays the result as 1/0 (High/Low) on the screen/LED display/transistor output from the AUX connector, so it can drive relays or solenoids as an abnormality monitoring function.

- Equipped with various output functions. Filtered data can be displayed on the built-in LCD, output to a PC via USB-serial, and output via SPI transmission from the AUX connector.

- Equipped with various other functions. Up to eight settings, such as filtering, can be stored, allowing you to quickly change the monitor content on-site. When an error occurs, an LED and error code will be displayed.

The firmware can be modified independently. The Arduino source code and board definitions have been made public. Circuit diagrams and 3D data for the case are also available, allowing for the development of custom controllers and interfaces. The board can be disassembled by removing the four screws on the back.
